Yes. You do not need counselling experience or a counselling qualification to enrol in our courses.
Most of our courses are delivered online or with a significant online component. Some courses, such as our Diploma of Counselling, can be completed entirely online (including the practical elements).
Other courses, such as our Higher Education courses, are delivered online and include residential schools and or work placements. Please refer to the specific course for further detail.
No, there is no work placement in our Diploma of Counselling.
Our accredited courses, which lead to a qualification, contain a variety of assessments consistent with the academic level they are taught at.
Our Diploma level courses contain mostly short answer and multiple choice, as well as assessment of practical skills.
Our Higher Education courses (Bachelor and Masters) contain a variety of assessment methods such as quizzes, short essay, longer essays, exams and projects. Some courses also include assessment of practical skills and placements.
Yes, we have a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. Our branches can conduct a quick pre-assessment of your qualifications and experience to give you an idea of what RPL you may expect to receive. Please contact your local branch directly for assistance.
Yes, we call them our Upskill micro-credential courses. Offering a wide range of topics to choose from, our upksill courses are between 20 and 40 hours of deep, rich, learning in specific areas.
All micro-credentials lead to a digital badge and certificate of attainment. They are self-paced and assessed through multiple-choice.

Yes, all our Diploma courses have a monthly pay plan option.
To enrol in our Diploma of Counselling, you should have either: completed Year 12 or a Certificate III qualification; or have at least 3 years of sufficient life experience (work or study), if over 21 years of age.
To enrol in our Master of Counselling, you should have successfully completed an undergraduate (Bachelor) degree in any field.

This industry accreditation means our graduates are eligible to become members of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and utilise the many benefits associated with being a member of ACA.
Yes, our Diploma of Counselling is self-paced. There are no exams, deadlines or semesters. You can progress through the course at your own pace. This assists students to fit their learning around their other commitments, such as work and family.

The most common pathways for students who already have an undergraduate are our Diploma of Counselling or Master of Counselling.
We find the two main considerations are flexibility and level of study.
Flexibility. If you want a course that is extremely flexible, you may wish to consider our Diploma of Counselling, as it is entirely self-paced and online. If you are happy learning across semesters, you may want to consider our Master of Counselling.
Level of Study. Our Diploma and Masters are taught at different academic levels. Our Diploma is more practical and skills based, whilst our Masters is delivered to a higher academic level.
