Everything you need to know before you arrive. From visas and accommodation to settling into life in Australia, we'll help you prepare for a smooth transition so you can start your studies with confidence.
We encourage to you plan your arrival into Australia before the commencement of Orientation Week. This will give you enough time to get yourself settled into the city before your studies start.
Before your journey
Before you leave your home country, you should ensure you’ve organised:
Your passport and student visa
Accommodation – we suggest you organise somewhere to stay for at least two weeks while you find your longer-term home.
Any COVID-19 tests that your airlines or the countries you are travelling through require.
At least $250 Australian in cash to help with your first few days.
We encourage to you plan your arrival into Australia before the commencement of Orientation Week. This will give you enough time to get yourself settled into the city before your studies start.

Airport Pickup
If you require someone to pick you up from the airport and take you to your pre-arranged accommodation, please email our International Student Support team at int.support@aipc.net.au.
Your first days in Australia

We also ask that you notify us at int.support@aipc.net.au when you have arrived safe and sound in Australia!
